The priority of cardiologists, Dr. Peter Wolk and Dr. James Yhip, is to offer the community medical care for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Our Heart Team, including Physician Assistants Shannon McBain, Amiee Shipley and Jim Steele, work together to help you receive the most appropriate treatment. We strive to provide an environment of innovative, compassionate health care for our community.
We do follow up care for post bypass and angioplasty patients. We also see patients with a variety of diseases and conditions including:

Dr. Peter Wolk received his Medical Degree at SUNY Health Science Center in New York in 1976. He completed his residency and fellowship at University of California San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Wolk is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He has practiced in Chico since 1983 and he began practicing at Glenn Medical Center in 2008.
Dr. James Yhip received his Medical Degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1991. He completed Internal Medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in California. He has fellowships from University of Texas Houston, Texas Heart Institute and Arizona Heart Institute/Good Samaritan. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Yhip has special interests in nonsurgical treatments for vascular disease. He practiced general and interventional cardiovascular medicine in Washington and Oregon before moving to Chico to practice in 2006. He began practicing at Glenn Medical Center in 2010.
